Who may enter?
The competition is open to anyone aged 18 years or older.

Short description
Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors, is the climate fiction contest organized by Fix, Grist’s solutions lab.
Fix, Grist’s solutions lab, invites you to submit a hope-filled climate fiction short story for our second annual contest, Imagine 2200: Climate Fiction for Future Ancestors. Stories must be set anytime between today and the year 2200, and show a path to a clean, green, and just future.
Submissions must be fictional stories between 3,000 and 5,000 words.
Stories must not have been previously published.
This year’s judges are: Grace L. DillonArkady Martine, and Sheree Renée Thomas.

Entry fee
The competition is free to enter.

Prizes
• 1st prize: US$3,000
• 2nd prize: US$2,000
• 3rd prize: US$1,000
• An additional nine finalists will each receive a US$300 honorarium.
All 12 final stories will be published on Fix’s website.
