The competition is open to anyone.

Short description
The contest is organized by the Carve, an American literary magazine.
Submitted work must be an original, unpublished short story up to 10,000 words.
The story must be in English.
This year’s judge is Dariel Suarez.

Entry fee
The entry fee is $17.

Prizes
• 1st prize: $2,000
• 2nd prize: $500
• 3rd prize: $250
• two editor’s choice prizes of $125
The winners will be published in the fall issue of the magazine.
