Who may enter?
The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Short description
The contest is organized by the Charles Causley Trust in Launceston, England.
Entries must be in English.
The poem/s may be on any subject; 40 lines of text maximum, no minimum.
Entries must never have been published, self-published, published on any website or broadcast in any form.
This year’s competition will be judged by Seán Hewitt.
Entry fees
The first poem submitted costs £7.50. Subsequent entries in the same submission cost £5.50 per poem.
Prizes
• 1st prize: £2,000 plus a 1 week writing residency at Cyprus Well, Charles Causley’s former home in Launceston
• 2nd prize: £250
• 3rd prize: £100
