The Alpine Fellowship Writing Prize 2021

Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and above.

The competition is organised by the Alpine Fellowship, a charity project with the broad aim of ‘promoting culture and the arts’.

This year’s theme is: “Untamed: On Wilderness and Civilization” → introduction to the theme.

Submissions can be prose, poetry, non-academic essays, but must be standalone and cannot be extracts from a larger piece.

All genres permitted.

A maximum of 2,500 words per entry.

Text must not have been published, self-published or accepted for publication in print or online, or have won or been placed in another competition at any time.

Entry fee
The competition is free to enter.

• 1st place: £10,000
• 2nd place: £3,000
• 3rd place: £2,000
