Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 16.
Details
The contest is organised by The Caterpillar, a magazine of poems and stories and art for grown-ups.
The prize is for a single unpublished poem written by an adult for children aged 7–11.
The poem can be on any subject. There is a line limit of 150. Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never have been published, self-published, published online or broadcast.
Entries must be in English.
This year’s judge is Michael Morpurgo.
Entry fee
The entry fee is €14 per poem.
Prize
A single prize of €1,000 will be awarded to the best poem.
